Sean lives in Charlotte, NC with his wife Chelsea and two dogs. Sean was born and raised in Kansas. Sean met Chelsea in Calculus 3 class while attending Kansas State University studying mechanical engineering.
Making a career as a woodworker wasn’t always the goal. Sean spent the first ten years of his career as a mechanical engineer in Chicago, Houston, and Charlotte. Sean’s career as a mechanical engineer provided him with exemplary design skills and a desire to stop staring at a computer screen and work with his hands.
Growing up Sean spent a lot of time with his father, a carpenter, remodeling houses and doing doing general carpentry work. After purchasing their first home, Sean began acquiring woodworking tools to build some pieces for Chelsea and himself. While working on these projects, he developed a deep passion for woodworking, constantly inspired by the endless possibilities.
Woodworking was challenging, fulfilling, and therapeutic, hooking him in before he knew it. As he began working with more tools and on larger projects, he found a new passion: building a life as a craftsman and he hasn’t looked back since.
